Their family home was recently hit by a fire that, fortunately, caused no injuries but resulted in immense material damage, leaving the family of six children without basic living conditions.

School First to React: Class Teacher and Principal's Appeal

The first to contact the municipality for help were education system employees. "The class teacher of the girl attending Banovci Elementary School and the principal of Ilača-Banovci Elementary School, who are in direct contact with the family and aware of their current needs, approached us for help," said Belajević, the mayor of Nijemci municipality.

What Is Needed and How You Can Help

The municipality calls on all people of goodwill, residents, craftsmen, and anyone else who can to join the campaign. Help is needed in the form of construction materials, renovation work, clothing and footwear for the children and parents, and household supplies.

"We invite all people of goodwill, residents, craftsmen, and others who can help with materials, labor, clothing and footwear for the children and parents, household supplies, or in any other way to get involved," Mayor Belajević said in the municipality's announcement.
