The public has gained access to a video showing Prime Minister Andrej Plenković in the vicinity of Sinj, surrounded by ministers, singing and enjoying himself to the music of Oliver Dragojević. The footage originates from the home of former Alka champion Ivo Vukasović Parin from Brnaze, an individual who caused a traffic accident under the influence of alcohol in 2020, as reported by 24sata.

Company with the Prime Minister

In the video, as visible, the Prime Minister is accompanied by ministers Gordan Grlić Radman and Tonči Glavina, as well as Split Mayor Tomislav Šuta and County Prefect Blaženko Boban. The material was released on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The footage was initially published by Televizija Jadran and shows the Prime Minister singing the hit "Kad mi dođeš ti," hugging Vukasović, and raising his hands, while Minister Grlić Radman watches from the side, visibly moved but not singing.

Admitted to Driving with 1.26 Promille

Vukasović Parin is publicly known not only for his drunk driving incident in 2020 but also for allegations that he incited the head of the local police station, Mislav Filipović Grčić, to abuse his position and authority. The former Alka champion confirmed that he was driving with 1.26 promille of alcohol in his blood and caused an accident with material damage, but denied making threats to the police chief. According to information from the Split police at the time, Vukasović caused a chain collision around 6:30 PM with his Passat: he failed to stop in time and hit the car in front of him, which then struck the next vehicle. No one was injured in the accident, but material damage occurred. After officers arrived at the scene, Vukasović contacted the chief of the Sinj police station, and the police subsequently investigated whether he attempted to induce him to abuse his position and authority.

Claims He Was Set Up

In his defense, he claimed that rivals had framed him, motivated by jealousy over his close ties with Prime Minister Plenković. "I'm used to these low blows, but I must say that many are unhappy that Prime Minister Plenković, who, as you can see, was re-elected, had lunch at my home personally and said he was honored to be in a true Croatian family," he said at the time for Slobodna Dalmacija. The release of this footage from the gathering at the former champion's home once again raises questions about the nature of these connections.

Meanwhile, on August 12, 2026, the Government of the Republic of Croatia marked International Youth Day on Twitter under the slogan "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations," emphasizing its commitment to creating opportunities for young people in Croatia through education, employment, and active participation in society.
