Summary
  • Traffic accident in Brodarica near Šibenik: single lane with a 40 km/h speed limit.
  • Roadworks on the A3 Bregana-Lipovac last until September 1 and October 3, 2026, with possible queues.
  • For August 13, HAK forecasts congestion on the A3, A7, and A2, especially during morning and afternoon hours.

Drivers on the Adriatic Highway (DC8) in Brodarica near Šibenik were greeted today by a traffic accident that has reduced traffic to a single lane. According to the Croatian Automobile Club (HAK), a speed limit of 40 km/h is in effect on this section, with police directing traffic.

Object on the A6 and Lane Closures on the A2

In addition to the accident in Dalmatia, HAK also warns of an object on the A6 Rijeka-Zagreb motorway at km 37+000 between the Ravna Gora and Delnice interchanges in the direction of Rijeka. The speed limit has been set to 80 km/h.

On the A2 Zagreb-Macelj motorway, traffic is moving only in the slow lane on two sections: from km 17+500 to km 13+750 towards Macelj (Krapina, Đurmanec section) and from km 6+700 to km 8+200 towards Zagreb (Trakošćan, Đurmanec section).

Roadworks on the A3 Until October

On the A3 Bregana-Lipovac motorway, multi-month roadworks are underway that will affect traffic in the coming weeks. Repairs to the drainage system on the section from the Popovača interchange to the Kutina interchange, towards Lipovac (from km 90+700 to km 93+800), will last until September 1, 2026, with traffic moving in two narrowed lanes. HAK warns that with increased traffic density, queues and congestion are possible, especially on Fridays.

Additionally, until October 3, 2026, roadworks are ongoing between the Sveta Nedelja and Zagreb zapad interchanges (from km 12+480 to km 15+300), where the carriageway towards Lipovac is closed. Traffic is moving in both directions using the carriageway leading to Bregana, with two narrowed lanes for each direction. Queues and congestion are possible, especially during morning and afternoon rush hours, as well as throughout the day on weekends.

Forecast for Tomorrow: Queues on Bypasses

For Tuesday, August 13, 2026, HAK forecasts slower traffic during the morning and afternoon on city roads and bypasses. Queues and congestion are expected, especially on the bypasses around Zagreb (A3) and Rijeka (A7), on the A2 Zagreb-Macelj motorway at the Zagreb zapad interchange, and on the A3 Bregana-Lipovac between the Sveta Nedelja and Zagreb zapad interchanges.

Due to strong bora winds on the Adriatic, restrictions may be in place for certain types of vehicles, especially on sections of the Adriatic Highway in the area below Velebit. Increased traffic is expected on roads leading to the coast, and occasional queues are possible in tunnels, at rest areas, toll stations, and approaches to tourist destinations. At some border crossings, longer waits for passenger and freight vehicles are possible.
