On the beach in front of Morski prasac, at the mythical Kantrida, the night before the first rainy day after weeks of scorching heat was truly hot and spirited. The guest was Antonije Pušić, better known to the public as Rambo Amadeus, a musician with an intriguing oeuvre who got a large number of his fans dancing and singing, filling every free corner of Rijeka's most famous beach.
Among a string of top-notch songs, the highlight of the evening came with Čobane vrati se, one of the musician's biggest hits, through which he satirically comments on and brutally deconstructs reality. The audience was also sent into a frenzy by FAP mašina, and collective empathy emerged as Rambo expressed sorrow and support for the victims of the recent fire that devastated Omiš, its coastline, and hinterland.
Given that he does not perform often on the northern Adriatic, the concert at Kantrida was an opportunity for a considerable number of fans from nearby Slovenian regions and Istria to attend. Among the attendees were Bernard Ravnić and Edi Maružin, who openly showed their satisfaction with the performance by the Kotor native, considered one of the most important musicians from Montenegro in history.
The evening filled with good music and lyrics was also one of the highlights of this year's edition of Summer at Kantrida, whose first performers were Gustafi. The program, organized by the system known as New Tourism, hosted all music genres this year, from Elio Pisak to Zoran Majstorović to Rambo Amadeus.
Although the punk festival is still to come, this year's program can already be rated as one of the best, not only during the summer but throughout the entire year in Rijeka. As the article's author concludes: "shepherd, come back, your sheep cannot do without you."
