Real Madrid sent its first official offer to RB Leipzig for Yan Diomandé this week, worth 100 million euros, but the German club rejected it, confirmed journalist Fabrizio Romano on July 24, 2026. Negotiations between the two clubs continue, and contacts have also been established with the player's camp.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Real's offer is structured as 90 million euros fixed amount plus 10 million euros in bonuses. Leipzig rejected the offer because they are asking for more than 100 million euros for Diomandé. The Spanish newspaper AS, as reported by Tportal, cites different figures: according to that source, Leipzig is asking for around 130 million euros for its player, although the deal could ultimately be concluded for an amount of approximately 120 million euros. The difference between the sources in the offer structure and the requested amount indicates that negotiations are only entering a more serious phase, and the final figures have not yet been determined.
Diomandé arrived at RB Leipzig last summer from Spanish side Leganés. In his first season in the Bundesliga, he immediately confirmed high expectations: he recorded 12 goals and eight assists. The Ivory Coast international continued at the same pace at the World Cup, where, according to AS, he emerged as one of the biggest winners of the tournament. It is this form that has attracted the attention of Europe's biggest clubs.
According to AS, Real Madrid manager José Mourinho is one of the main advocates for Diomandé's arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu. The Portuguese tactician is confident that the young forward can raise the quality of Real's attacking line and become a mainstay of the team in the long term. An additional interesting fact is that Diomandé shares the same management agency as Vinícius Júnior, which further strengthens his connection with the Royal club. AS also claims that Diomandé's personal wish is to move precisely to Madrid.
Real Madrid is not the only one interested in Diomandé. Fabrizio Romano confirmed that PSG has been in negotiations with RB Leipzig for weeks, but without an agreement. Liverpool has also shown interest, according to AS. In the meantime, Leipzig is trying to keep the player by offering a new contract, but the pressure from European giants is growing every day. That is precisely why Real wants to react quickly and close the deal before the race for one of the most promising young players on the market becomes even more complicated.

Negotiations are also ongoing with the player's camp, but the transfer is still far from conclusion. Leipzig holds a strong negotiating position, and the gap between the offer and the asking price remains significant.
