Virovitica's biggest city event, Rokovo 2026, brings four days of a rich program, but also significant traffic changes in the city center. From Wednesday, August 13, until Sunday, August 17, drivers will have to use alternative routes as a key city section will be closed to all traffic.
Main Road Closed from Thursday Morning
According to information from the Regionalni Slavonija portal, temporary traffic regulations will come into effect on August 13 at 7 a.m. and will last until August 17 at 5 a.m. The section from the roundabout near Mr. Jack's, which will remain passable, to the intersection of Augusta Šenoe Street and Ljudevita Gaja Street will be closed to all traffic. In the eastward direction, the road will be closed up to the roundabout at the intersection of Stjepana Radića Street and Antuna Mihanovića Street, which will also remain operational.
Additional Closures During Concerts
Due to the main events, additional temporary closures will be in effect. On the night from Thursday to Friday, August 13, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on August 14, the section leading to the roundabout near Fina will also be closed. The same regulation will be repeated on Saturday, August 15, from noon until 1 a.m. on August 16.
Four Days of Music, Culture, and Fun
The Rokovo event, which marks Virovitica City Day and the feast of Saint Roch, runs from August 13 to 16. As reported by the ICV Virovitica portal, the program is designed for all generations and includes numerous cultural, sports, and entertainment activities. Visitors can expect Wine Park, Virokreativa, Street Food, and the Virovitica Street Festival. The musical part of the program is headlined by big names from the domestic scene: Petar Grašo, the band Silente, Doris Dragović, Adi Šoše, and Urban & 4.
The fact that Rokovo has outgrown local boundaries and become one of the most recognizable events in continental Croatia is confirmed by this year's sponsorship from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
