Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and model Georgina Rodríguez have tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Cascais, crowning their multi-year relationship with marriage.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have officially become spouses. The Portuguese football star (41) and the model (32) were married in an intimate civil ceremony held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in Cascais, Portugal. The news was first shared on social media with a photo of their hands showing wedding rings and the caption "C❤️G."
According to an official statement, the wedding was a private event attended by their five children. The news was also confirmed to the DailyMail by Ronaldo's representative. "Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez were married today in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, and are now officially husband and wife," the representative said, adding that it was a private and intimate moment.
The couple is raising five children together: twins Eva Maria and Mateo (8), daughter Alana (8), daughter Bella (4), and 15-year-old son Cristiano Junior, whom Ronaldo had from a previous relationship. In April 2022, it was announced that Ángel, Bella's twin brother, had passed away during childbirth.
The wedding took place exactly one year after Rodríguez announced their engagement on Instagram on August 11, 2025. At the time, she shared a photo of a large diamond ring with the words: "Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas," which translates to: "Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives."
In an interview with Spanish Elle in December 2025, Georgina admitted that the proposal took her completely by surprise. "The truth is that the proposal was the last thing on my mind at that moment," she said. "It took me a long time to process that huge rock he gave me. I was so taken aback that I left the ring in the room and only looked at it in daylight the next morning." She described the ring as "beautiful," then joked: "It's the least he could offer me after 10 years of waiting."
Ronaldo and Georgina met in 2017 while she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store. Their first red carpet appearance together was in January of that year at the "Best FIFA Football Awards" in Zurich. In May 2017, Ronaldo shared a photo of them together on Instagram, confirming their relationship.
In Georgina's 2022 reality series "I Am Georgina," Ronaldo described the early days of their relationship. He said that Georgina immediately struck him as "a very interesting girl, much more mature for her age." He also admitted that he didn't expect to fall so deeply in love. "I didn't think the relationship would be this strong, that I would fall in love with her. Honestly, I didn't expect it. But after some time, I felt she was the woman of my life," he said.
After the Portuguese star was active on the football pitch during the summer, playing for the national team at the 2026 World Cup, the wedding followed. Numerous celebrities and fans around the world sent congratulations to the newlyweds.
