After a decade-long relationship, the famous footballer and model have chosen their native Madeira for a dream wedding.
The Portuguese island of Madeira is about to host one of the most glamorous events of the year. Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-time partner Georgina Rodríguez have decided to make their relationship official, choosing Funchal, the city where the famous footballer was born, as the wedding venue.
The couple will exchange their fateful "I do's" in the historic cathedral in Funchal. This impressive church can accommodate up to 800 guests and is located just a stone's throw from Ronaldo's birthplace. After the ceremony, the celebration moves to the luxurious five-star Savoy Palace resort, where guests will be treated to top-notch service with personal butlers, several pools, and a lavish ballroom with a capacity of one thousand people.
Ronaldo and Georgina are raising five children together, and all of them will be an integral part of this special day. The eldest son, Cristiano Junior, and the twins Eva and Mateo came into the relationship from Ronaldo's previous relationships. Together, they had a daughter, Alana Martina, and in 2022, the family grew with the youngest member, Bella Esmeralda. They raise all the children as their own, and they will surely be by their parents' side in Madeira.
Their romance began in 2016 in a somewhat cinematic way. Georgina, then 32 years old, was working as a sales assistant in a Gucci store where they met. Last summer, the football star decided to take the relationship to the next level and proposed, and the future bride showed off a lavish engagement ring on Instagram, estimated to be worth three million pounds.
After ten years of living together, the couple is finally ready to tie the knot in their native region, surrounded by family and friends, in what many are already calling the wedding of the year.
