Hajduk took the lead away at Gorica in Velika Gorica in just the third minute of the match in the 3rd round of the SuperSport HNL. Michele Šego scored to make it 0-1 after being played through by Rokas Pukštas, and the entire situation underwent a VAR review for a possible offside.
According to a report from 24sata, VAR analyzed whether Šego was in an offside position when receiving the ball. "The situation is indeed very tight," notes a 24sata journalist, but the goal was ultimately allowed. A Tportal commentator described the move: "GOAL! A fantastic start for Hajduk. Pukštas crossed for Šego, who scores for the early lead of the Split side."
Gorica lined up with Matijaš in goal, with Perić, Filipović, and Cvijanović in defense in front of him, Braut, Frigan, Pavičić, and Bogojević in midfield, and Custovic, Kavelj, and Mijić in attack.
