This year's traditional village games in Kobilić will have a special humanitarian goal. All money raised during the event will go toward purchasing portable EKG devices for the association "Big Heart for a Small Heart," as reported by City Portal VG.
The organizers were inspired by the story of Jakov Vukadin, a boy with a heart defect who is himself a member of the association "Big Heart for a Small Heart." That is why this year's traditional gathering carries an additional, extremely important message.
The event at the NK Vatrogasac Kobilić field begins in the morning hours. Team registrations for teams of five members open at 9 a.m., followed by the competitive part. Participants can expect nine traditional disciplines: egg-and-spoon race, long jump, pouring contest, wheelbarrow race, stone throw from the shoulder, sack race, tug-of-war, Bistrički ringišpil, and pair race.
The organizers have provided free bean stew for players and fans. Throughout the day, visitors will be able to contribute to the campaign via donation boxes, and the association "Big Heart for a Small Heart" will also have a promotional stand where they will present their work.
The event is jointly organized by the Kobilić Local Committee, NK Vatrogasac Kobilić, and the Kobilić Women's Association. This year's games show that victory isn't always determined by speed, strength, or agility, but also by a big heart.
