Tino Radanović and Mario Bošnjak appeared on Hit radio's 'Čestitka slavodobitniku' show, sharing their impressions after the celebration and highlighting the importance of family, faith, and the quiet team behind every alkar.
The winner of the 311th Sinjska Alka, deputy alajčauš Tino Radanović, and his alkar squire Mario Bošnjak appeared on Monday on Hit radio's 'Čestitka slavodobitniku' show. During the conversation, they shared their impressions after the magnificent competition, thanked everyone for the numerous congratulations, and revealed to whom they dedicate this year's victory.
Radanović noted that he is still processing his triumph but is aware of how much this year's Alka has moved people. "I'm trying to respond as much as I can, but I can't get to everyone, so if I've forgotten someone, I hope they won't be upset. I'm trying to sort out my impressions after the win, and I can see that people were truly moved. I think we put on a top-notch Alka, and the alkars showed their form," the winner told Hit radio.
His squire, Mario Bošnjak, who has been participating in the Alka with Tino since 2013, described the event as a magnificent sporting competition. "The procession looked beautiful, worthy of our forefathers, and overall it was truly impressive," Bošnjak added.
A particularly emotional moment in the show was Radanović's dedication of his victory to his invisible team. He revealed that his children, nine-year-old Ivan and daughter Lara, have lived for the Alka and the Trkalište for years.
"My Ivan, my nine-year-old son, held a horse for the first time this year-not for me, but for Stipe Bogdan. My Lara has been holding horses for a few years now; she and Ivan Đipalo are my team that keeps everything under control. They don't want to go to the beach or anywhere else; it's all about horses, the Trkalište, and the Alka from morning to night. That's the quiet force of the Alka that maybe no one even sees, but without them, there is no Alka, and this victory of mine definitely goes to them," Radanović stated.
Bošnjak directed his dedication toward spiritual and family roots. He emphasized that the entire Alka begins with faith and the intercession of the Miraculous Lady of Sinj. "We won the Alka with faith and the intercession of the Miraculous Lady of Sinj. My primary dedication goes to my parents, my wife, and my children, who give me the strength to push through. And that family resides in this Homeland, which is the final element to which I would dedicate this victory," the alkar squire concluded.
