According to Football Rankings' projection, Dinamo is a slight favorite against Norwegian side Viking in the Champions League playoff, with the first leg set for August 18 at Maksimir.
According to the latest projection published by Football Rankings and reported by Index.hr, GNK Dinamo has a 57 percent chance of advancing to the league phase of the Champions League. The final hurdle for coach Mario Kovačević's side will be Norwegian champions Viking FK, who are given a 43 percent chance of progressing.
The Zagreb club comfortably completed the job against Lithuanian side Kauno Žalgiris in the third qualifying round on Tuesday. After a convincing 5:0 win in the first leg at Maksimir, Dinamo triumphed 2:1 in Lithuania with goals from Lukas Kačavenda and Josip Mišić, advancing with an aggregate score of 7:1.

Football Rankings' projection places Dinamo as favorites against Viking, but the margin is not large. In the playoff round, this tie is considered one of the most uncertain. For comparison, the same analysis gives AEK a 72% chance against Levski Sofia, Celtic 70% against LASK, Bodø/Glimt as much as 78% against NEC, while Slovan Bratislava with 59% is only slightly above Dinamo as favorites against Celje, whereas Dinamo has a lower percentage against Viking.
The winner of this tie will secure a spot in the league phase of the Champions League, which brings together 36 clubs. After convincingly overcoming the Lithuanians, Dinamo is just one step away from returning to Europe's elite club competition.
Dinamo will play the first leg against Viking on Tuesday, August 18 at 9 PM at Maksimir Stadium, with the return leg scheduled for August 26 in Stavanger. "Let's go for the Champions League together! 💙✨," the club posted on Twitter.

Individual ticket prices: West Lower costs €23 for members and €28 for other fans, West Upper €18 for members and €23 for others, while North Lower is available exclusively to members at €12. Season tickets are valid for this match, but the free member ticket benefit does not apply. Season ticket holders can transfer their seats to others via the transfer service until Tuesday, August 18 at 12:00 PM.
