The new Premier League season kicks off next week, and Sky Sports' supercomputer has already released its final standings prediction. The news isn't good for Croatian fans. Hull City, managed by Sergej Jakirović, is predicted to finish dead last and be relegated.

The former Dinamo, Rijeka, and Gorica coach took over the team this summer after they earned promotion from the Championship last season. However, according to complex calculations, the 'Tigers' are expected to average just 27.82 points by season's end, far below the survival threshold.

Tough start against United

Jakirović's side enters the first round on the second day of the new season. They'll host giants Manchester United at the MKM Stadium, with the supercomputer predicting 75.38 points and a fourth-place finish for the visitors. It will be a baptism of fire for Hull and a chance to defy the odds right from the start.

Arsenal favorites, City second

At the top of the table, the supercomputer sees current champions Arsenal. Mikel Arteta's men are projected to average 85.24 points and retain their title. The Gunners left a strong impression last season, reaching the Champions League final.

Manchester City take second place with 81.65 points, featuring Croatian internationals Joško Gvardiol and Mateo Kovačić. Behind them are Liverpool (76.84) and the aforementioned Manchester United (75.38).

All three newcomers in the crosshairs

Interestingly, the forecast predicts relegation for all three clubs that played in the Championship last season. Alongside Hull City, Coventry City (35.05 points) and Ipswich (34.29 points) are also expected to drop back down.

Coventry will open their season away at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium on Friday, August 21, at 9 PM. It will be the first official match of the new Premier League season.
