The popular host and actor took on an unexpected role at a romantic ceremony in Boka Kotorska, and after viral photos, he admits that he is receiving numerous calls for similar engagements.
Tarik Filipović surprised many this summer when he acted as the registrar at the wedding of his niece Samra and her partner Uroš. According to Gloria, the romantic ceremony took place last weekend in the town of Kamenari, on the very shores of Boka Kotorska.
Although he rarely shares family moments, the actor and host revealed that it all started two years ago, as a simple joke.
"It all started two years ago, a friend's son was getting married. As a joke, since they had already had the official ceremony, they wanted a fake registrar for the second ceremony. They decided it would be fun for me to organize a prank. Lejla's niece saw it and wanted me to be her 'registrar' after the couple had already gotten married. So it spread, and offers started coming in,"
Filipović told Gloria, jokingly adding that a new career path might open up before him.
Other family members were also present at the fairy-tale wedding. Tarik's wife, an entrepreneur and former Miss Croatia, chose an elegant combination, while his sister Lejla Filipović wore a sophisticated chocolate-colored dress. It was Lejla who posted a photo with the bride on social media, captioned: "Auntie's beauty."
The wedding was marked by summer magic, the bride shone in a satin wedding dress with a lace corset, and the guests enjoyed a rich menu: from cheese and cold cut platters, to summer truffle risotto, to slow-roasted veal and wedding cake. But the biggest smile was brought by the "registrar" Tarik, whose performance went viral.
Judging by the reactions, Filipović can now expect a flood of offers to similarly brighten the most important day for other couples.
