According to information shared on social media, Tia Jurčić, the adopted daughter of former Economy Minister Ljubo Jurčić and former daughter-in-law of Zdravko Mamić, is set to marry former NBA player Kenny Smith this coming weekend. The news of the glamorous wedding was first shared by her friend and makeup artist Karl Rusan.
On Instagram, Rusan posted photos of ice cream cups labeled "Tia and Kenny's Wedding Weekend" and added a romantic message: "I choose you, and I will choose you over and over again, without hesitation, without doubt, without a second thought."
Soon after, Tia Jurčić herself spoke out. On Instagram, she shared a photo from the rehearsal dinner, traditionally held the day before the ceremony. "Rehearsal dinner," she wrote briefly alongside the post, posing in a lavish gown made of layered tulle in a soft pink-purple hue, as reported by Zagreb.info.
The strapless creation accentuated her figure, and the overall impression was further enhanced by a luxurious Rolls-Royce in the same color parked right next to her, writes Večernji list. As a finishing touch, Tia held a clutch bag with the inscription "Mrs. Smith."

The couple first appeared together publicly at a Super Bowl event in February 2024. The relationship was officially confirmed in March 2025, but sources differ on the engagement date. While Zagreb.info states they got engaged in October 2024, Večernji list claims the engagement took place in October 2025.
Tia Jurčić, who is an entrepreneur, is the stepdaughter of former parliament member Ljubo Jurčić; he took care of her after her mother passed away when Tia was 12. She is known to the Croatian public for her marriage to Mario Mamić, the son of Zdravko Mamić, which lasted more than six years, ending in divorce in 2023.
After the divorce, she moved to the United States with her son Domenick (referred to as Dominic by Zagreb.info), whom she had from her first marriage to American basketball player Chris Warren.
Kenny Smith was born in 1965 in Brooklyn and grew up in Queens, New York. His NBA career spanned from 1987 to 1997, playing for the Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, and Denver Nuggets. He is a two-time NBA champion with the Houston Rockets, and after his playing career, he remained in basketball as a sports analyst and television commentator on the popular show "Inside the NBA."
