The official trailer for the fifth and final season of the series Outer Banks appeared on Netflix on Wednesday, July 30, 2026, reports JUGInfo. This final season, which will conclude the story, will be available to subscribers starting August 20, confirms Dubrovnik Daily. Part of it was filmed last year on the Croatian coast, in Dubrovnik and Cavtat.
According to JUGInfo, filming took place in the fall of 2025 in Dubrovnik's old town. The crew used recognizable locations such as Stradun, the area in front of St. Blaise's Church, and the Sponza Palace. Because the set was not completely closed off from the public, many residents and visitors were able to witness the filming, and some even ended up as extras.
In addition to Dubrovnik, the producers also filmed some material in Cavtat. Due to filming needs, as reported by JUGInfo, temporary traffic regulations were in place in Cavtat's old town.
The main protagonists of the series also arrived in Dubrovnik: Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Jonathan Daviss, Madison Bailey, and Drew Starkey. Footage and photos from the streets quickly flooded social media, and fans patiently waited for hours for a chance to see them in person, reveals JUGInfo.
Outer Banks debuted on Netflix in 2020 and follows the adventures of a group of friends, known as the Pogues, as they search for lost treasure. The newly released trailer suggests an action-packed finale: the heroes, struck by a great loss, embark on a final mission driven by a desire for revenge and the discovery of an artifact that could change their lives.
