U.S. President Donald Trump took a select team of his closest aides when he was secretly transferred from Air Force One to a military aircraft at Ankara airport after the NATO summit in the Turkish capital. Among that small group was his secretary, Natalie Harp (35), who is now being mentioned as a possible new White House press secretary.
Besides the blonde aide, Trump also brought Deputy White House Chief of Staff Dan Scavino and Walt Nauta, director of Oval Office operations, out of the presidential plane, which U.S. intelligence estimated was a potential target of an Iranian attack after a person with a handheld rocket launcher was reportedly spotted.
The three joined Trump in a food transport truck, which was used to move them from Air Force One-which served as a decoy for Iran-to a military aircraft positioned just behind the presidential plane. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth entered the military aircraft using the stairs, and at that moment it seemed the Pentagon chief was the highest-ranking official on the plane, where Trump and his favored aides were already present.
Harp, Scavino, and Nauta were with Trump during the difficult period between his two presidential terms, when he fought multiple legal proceedings against him from his Mar-a-Lago estate. Other senior officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, White House National Security Advisor Stephen Miller, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, remained on Air Force One with journalists.
After confirming that the secret operation had been carried out in Turkey, Trump stated that he was still at greater risk than the passengers on the presidential plane.
After Karoline Leavitt suddenly announced yesterday that she was stepping down as White House press secretary after a year and a half, speculation began circulating online that she was upset because Trump left her on the plane that was a decoy for the Iranians. A video from the presidential helicopter Marine One also went viral, allegedly showing Leavitt arguing with Trump and his secretary, who reportedly influenced the press secretary's dismissal.
According to the British tabloid The Sun, Harp is one of two leading options for the new White House press secretary, with her main rival being former model Anna Kelly (29), Leavitt's former assistant who filled in for her boss during maternity leave with her second child.
Harp is said to have the nickname "human printer" because she carries a wireless printer to give the president news on paper wherever they are. The Wall Street Journal reported that Harp, who survived bone cancer and is a former TV host, is believed to be behind most of Trump's posts on his Truth Social platform.
Model Kelly is reportedly tasked with collecting screenshots of social media posts from fans and allies who praise Trump, criticize Democrats, or insult his opponents, so he can review them. When Trump approves content to post in response, after reviewing the material Harp has printed, the secretary logs into his Truth Social account and posts it on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
A third option for the new White House press secretary is Margo Martin, Trump's communications adviser who films the U.S. president with her mobile phone and posts clips on social media.
