An unusual sight greeted swimmers in Grebišće Cove on Hvar on August 12, when tourists in a rented rubber boat entered the area reserved for swimmers and then ran aground. The incident was captured by an Index.hr reader, who sent photos to the portal and recounted what happened.

They Moved the Buoys and Shouted at Swimmers

According to the Index.hr reader's account, the tourists approached the shore in the rubber boat and moved the buoys marking the boundary of the swimming area. "They were yelling at swimmers to get out of the way, then they ran aground in the middle of the cove," the Index.hr reader said.

After running aground, the tourists did not stay by the vessel. According to the Index.hr reader, they left the rubber boat and headed to a nearby restaurant, while the stranded boat remained in the water, visible just off the shore.
