After more than two decades, the Tournament of Four Tomislavs was revived in Cerna. In the final, Livana defeated Donji Andrijevci 3:0, while the hosts thrashed Šag 13:0 in the bronze medal match.
The football tournament that brings together four clubs sharing the same name, the Tournament of Four Tomislavs, was held again in Cerna after more than two decades. The host of this year's edition was NK Tomislav from Cerna, and at the Školski vrt ground, they were joined by their namesakes from Livana, Donji Andrijevci, and Šag.
The first day of the tournament, played on August 15, 2026, saw victories for Tomislav from Livana and Tomislav from Donji Andrijevci, securing their spots in the final. In the third-place match, hosts Cerna convincingly beat Šag 13:0 on Sunday, August 16, while in the final, Livana proved too strong for Donji Andrijevci, winning 3:0 and taking home the title.
In addition to team accolades, individual awards were also presented. Dino Čugalj from Livana, who did not concede a single goal during the tournament, was named the best goalkeeper. Matko Roso, also from Livana, scored six goals to become the top scorer. The tournament's best player was Tomislav Šorša, a former captain of Osijek.
Josip Štorek, the mayor of the Cerna municipality, called on residents to support this sporting initiative. "I believe and hope that this beautiful sporting initiative will grow into a new tradition that will bring together the Tomislavs, athletes, and football fans year after year! I invite all residents, football enthusiasts, and sports lovers to support this wonderful initiative and come to Školski vrt in Cerna today," Štorek said, as reported by Vinkulja.
From the organizing and host club, they thanked the participants for their fair and sportsmanlike play. "These were two wonderful days of sporting competition in Cerna. We thank the clubs for their response and fair play, and we sincerely congratulate the award winners," said NK Tomislav Cerna.
The tournament concluded with a shared vision to make this sporting gathering a tradition once again. According to the agreement, the next edition of the Tournament of Four Tomislavs will be held next year in Donji Andrijevci.
