Turkish media have been floating several different scenarios in recent days about where the Croatian national team goalkeeper Dominik Livaković could continue his career, with the latest rumor linking him to Catalan giants Barcelona. The news was reported by Narod.hr, citing Turkish journalist Ferudun Nigdelioglu from the portal Yeni Acik.
The 31-year-old Livaković is a member of Turkish club Fenerbahçe, which earlier officially denied some reports about concrete offers for the Croatian goalkeeper. Now a new scenario has emerged suggesting that Barcelona would like to bring Livaković into their ranks.
Fenerbahçe Could Earn Up to Four Million Euros
According to Nigdelioglu's report, Fenerbahçe could earn between three and four million euros from the transfer of Livaković to Barcelona. Livaković has a contract with the Turkish club until the summer of 2028.
Information about Livaković's move to Barcelona should certainly be viewed with skepticism, as news from Turkish media about player transfers has often been incorrect on multiple occasions.
Linked with Dinamo and Olympiacos
In recent weeks, Livaković has been linked with a return to Zagreb's Dinamo, as well as a move to Greek club Olympiacos. Last season, he was on loan at Spanish club Girona and then at Dinamo, and he remains a Fenerbahçe player.
The Turkish club has a large number of foreign players in its squad, and media reports suggest they want to reduce that number. Among the players expected to leave is reportedly the Croatian national team goalkeeper.
Josip Juranović's Birthday
In the meantime, the Croatian Football Federation sent birthday wishes on social media to Croatian international Josip Juranović, who celebrates his birthday today.
