A trip to the doctor for digestive issues ended with a 34-year-old from Vinkovci behind bars. During a medical procedure at the Vinkovci General County Hospital, 35.30 grams of hashish were found in his body, triggering a chain of events that resulted in a criminal report and detention.
According to information from the Ministry of the Interior (MUP), the man was admitted to the hospital due to health issues. The unexpected discovery of the narcotic was immediately reported to the police, and officers from the Vinkovci Police Station launched a criminal investigation.
As stated in the police department's press release, "after he sought medical help and following the medical procedure at the Vinkovci General County Hospital, 35.30 grams of hashish were found and temporarily seized from the suspect's body." The drug was immediately confiscated, and the 34-year-old was reported for the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of drugs.
After the criminal investigation was completed, the suspect was handed over to the detention supervisor, where he will await further proceedings. The case has drawn the attention of the local public due to the unusual circumstances that led to the discovery of the drugs.
