The world of mixed martial arts has been shaken by the sudden death of UFC fighter Allan Nascimento. The Brazilian passed away at the age of 34 after reportedly suffering a heart attack in his sleep.
The sad news was officially confirmed by the UFC organization in a statement on social media on Monday, August 3, 2026.
The UFC announced that Nascimento was found unconscious in the morning hours. "This morning, on Monday, August 3, beloved flyweight fighter Allan Nascimento was found unconscious after apparently suffering a heart attack during sleep," the statement, as reported by Net.hr, read.
Despite the rapid response of emergency medical services, the fighter could not be saved. "Despite the efforts of the medical team that arrived at the scene, death was confirmed," the statement added. The UFC expressed its condolences to the family and friends: "In these extremely difficult moments, our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan's family, friends, teammates, and all his loved ones."
Allan Nascimento joined the world's premier MMA promotion in 2021. During his professional career, he amassed an impressive record of 22 wins and 7 losses. Within the UFC itself, he posted a record of four wins and two losses.
His last appearance in the octagon was on June 20, 2026, when he faced Mitch Raposo at a Fight Night event in Las Vegas. He lost that bout by split decision, marking his second loss in the promotion.
