In Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, Ukrainian drones attacked the Wildberries logistics center in the settlement of Chishmy and the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat refinery in the city of Salavat. Fires broke out at both locations, confirmed by local sources and the region's head.
The Telegram channel Operatyvne ZSU, linked to Ukrainian forces, reported that in Chishmy, "another Wildberries logistics hub of the adversary" was hit, and a fire broke out on site. Ukrainska Pravda reports that the fire engulfed a large warehouse and distribution complex in the Chishminsky district, southwest of Ufa.
According to the Exilenova+ channel, the facility was used for storing, sorting, and further distributing dual-use goods. However, Wildberries stated that no goods were stored at the affected facility, as reported by Meduza Live. Ukrainian monitoring channels, meanwhile, note that the facade of the burned warehouse resembles that of the logistics company ITECO, suggesting that multiple companies may have shared the same complex.
According to estimates by Sergey Semko, a leading analyst at the research agency Data Insight, total losses for Wildberries and its sellers from the Ukrainian drone attack could reach between 600 and 800 billion rubles. The restoration of warehouses and infrastructure alone is estimated at 147 to 223 billion rubles, and if a full demolition with waste removal and site remediation is required, the cost could rise to 169 to 278.9 billion rubles. Potential losses for sellers on the platform are estimated at 445 to 507.8 billion rubles.
Meanwhile, the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, confirmed that the region was repelling a drone attack and that debris from one of the drones fell into the industrial zone of Salavat, where a fire broke out. Emergency services are on site, he added. An ASTRA source, citing OSINT analysis, reported that the fire occurred precisely at the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat refinery.
According to eyewitnesses, the first explosions rang out around 9:10 a.m. local time, and residents also reported air defense activation and sirens. Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is one of Russia's largest refining complexes, processing about 10 million tons of oil annually. According to ASTRA data, in 2024 it processed approximately 7.2 million tons, accounting for about 2.7 percent of Russia's total oil refining.
This is not the first attack on this refinery. After a strike on July 14, 2026, the facility temporarily halted operations. In September 2025, Ukrainian drones targeted the complex twice, on September 18 and 24, with the latter attack damaging the primary oil refining unit ELOU-AVT-6. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces earlier reported that on the night of August 11, 2026, the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery in the Orenburg region was also hit.
Attacks on logistics and energy facilities deep within Russian territory are part of a broader Ukrainian pressure campaign on Russian infrastructure that has been ongoing since the start of the war. Russian authorities have not yet released details on any casualties or the extent of material damage at the affected sites.
