According to exclusive information from renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, the clubs have already exchanged all necessary documentation and everything has been signed. Uruguayan international Ronald Araujo will soon be officially presented as the Reds' new defender.
While awaiting official confirmation, team captain Virgil van Dijk has already sent a clear welcome message to his future teammate. The experienced Dutchman, who himself returned to the pitch in the friendly against Monaco, emphasized that the dressing room doors are open for any new player.
"Any player who comes to the club will be welcome. I have no idea if the transfer has been announced yet or not. I haven't seen him yet, so we'll see," Van Dijk told Goal.com, maintaining a professional stance while the transfer is not yet fully finalized.
