The program begins on Friday, August 14, the eve of the feast itself. At 8:30 p.m., a traditional candlelight procession will take place at the Bistrica Calvary. Following the procession, an open-air Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Domagoj Matošević.

Main Day: Masses from Dawn to Dusk

On the Feast of the Assumption itself, Saturday, August 15, the faithful will have several Masses available throughout the day. The first open-air Masses will be held at 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

The central and most solemn Eucharistic celebration is scheduled for 10 a.m. It will be led by Archbishop of Zagreb, Mons. Dražen Kutleša, and the Mass will be broadcast live on HTV 1. Afternoon and evening services are scheduled for 4 p.m. in the basilica, and at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. outdoors.
