Residents of Rijeka who use public transport will need to plan their journeys with some changes on Monday. Due to the start of asphalt works on Kvaternikova Street, the local transit company Autotrolej has announced temporary route changes for four of its bus lines.
The works begin on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 7 AM, and the altered traffic regime will remain in effect until their completion. Passengers on lines 7, 7A, 25, and 26 will be affected by the changes.
Buses on lines 7 and 7A, traveling from Gornja Vežica and Sveti Križ toward the city center, will encounter a change at the intersection of S. Krautzeka, T. Strižića, and Kumičićeva streets. From that point, vehicles will turn onto a temporary route that follows: Kumičićeva, Mihanovićeva, Šetalište I. G. Kovačića, and Bulevard. After Bulevard, buses rejoin their regular route toward the center.
It is important to note that this change applies only to the direction toward the center. In the opposite direction, toward Gornja Vežica and Sveti Križ, lines 7 and 7A will operate without changes, on their regular routes.
Passengers on lines 25 and 26 will also experience changes. Upon arriving at the Sv. Ana location, these buses will not continue on their usual route but will instead turn onto a modified route that passes along dr. Z. Kučića, road D404, through the Sušak Tunnel, across Jelačićev Square, and Delta.
As with lines 7 and 7A, the change applies only in one direction. In the direction of Sušačka Draga, buses on lines 25 and 26 will continue to operate on their regular routes without deviation.
Autotrolej asks passengers for patience and understanding during the works and urges them to plan their journeys in advance.
