Following the completion of works at key intersections, trams return to Ulica grada Vukovara and Šubićeva, and the temporary bus line 616 is discontinued.
From the early morning hours on Thursday, August 20, 2026, Zagreb Electric Tram (ZET) will reinstate tram service along Ulica grada Vukovara and Šubićeva Street. This decision comes after the completion of works at the Savska, Vukovarska and Zvonimirova, Šubićeva intersections, as confirmed by ZET.
Starting Thursday, tram lines 3, 5, and 7 will once again operate on their usual routes, providing passengers with faster and more direct transport. At the same time, emergency bus line 616, which connected Vrbik and Držićeva during the works as a temporary solution, will be discontinued. According to ZET, this line is no longer needed following the reopening of tram traffic.
Although line 13 is returning to service, its route will be modified until the completion of works on Zvonimirova Street. Specifically, trams will operate on the following route: Kvaternikov Square, Šubićeva, Branimirova, Main Railway Station, Ban Jelačić Square, Frankopanska, Savska, Ulica grada Vukovara, Žitnjak. This change allows for the continuation of track works while maintaining connections to key parts of the city.
It is important to note that two stops remain out of service until further notice: "Zagrepčanka" in the direction of Savišće and "Šubićeva" in the direction of Kvaternikov Square. Passengers will need to use nearby stops, and ZET recommends planning trips with extra time.
Works on Zvonimirova Street will continue until September 7, 2026, which means that tram lines 9 and 17 will operate on shortened routes until that date, terminating at Trg žrtava fašizma. As stated by ZET, it is expected that after this deadline, all lines will return to their regular routes.
ZET urges all passengers to check current route information and possible changes before departing to avoid any inconvenience. They also recommend using ZET's official channels for the latest public transport updates.
