The defendant, holding dual Croatian and Serbian citizenship, is accused of taking over more than ten kilograms of cocaine in Vukovar-Srijem County in April this year and heading towards Serbia, where police intercepted him.

Italian financial police discovered the drug in a refrigerated container that arrived from Ecuador at the port of Vado Ligure. The seizure is one of the largest at that port in recent years.
