The Slanje, Stari Gradec hillfort spans 12.5 hectares and is encircled by ramparts up to 14 meters high, forming part of a unique Early Iron Age archaeological landscape in Varaždin County.

Marko Ajček, former mayor of the Municipality of Gradina, suspected of corruption and money laundering, got a job at the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute. The Institute says it was not aware of the investigation.
