Instead of continuing along the lane designated for going straight and turning right, he moved into the lane reserved for public transport vehicles. Due to speed not adjusted to road conditions, he failed to stop in time and drove his car into a trench on the roadway, specifically into the excavated section next to the tram tracks.

Arrest and Detention Until Sober

Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident, and only material damage was caused. After the crash, the driver was immediately arrested and held in a special room until the effects of alcohol wore off. Once sober, he was brought before the Municipal Misdemeanor Court in Zagreb, where misdemeanor proceedings were initiated against him.
