After a traffic accident in a Trogir parking lot, police uncovered a series of violations, and the court ordered her ten-day detention.
A traffic accident in the parking lot of a shopping center in Trogir, which at first glance seemed like a minor incident with material damage, resulted in the detention of a 29-year-old female driver. The accident occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2026, just after 6 p.m., and a swift police response revealed multiple violations of the law.
According to available information, at 6:19 p.m., the 29-year-old was attempting a three-point turn in reverse in the parking lot. During this maneuver, she collided with another passenger vehicle. Although no one was injured in the accident, material damage was caused.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers quickly discovered that the driver was behind the wheel even though her driver's license had previously been revoked. Matters escalated when she refused the police officer's request to undergo testing for the presence of drugs in her system.
During further processing, a small amount of marijuana was also found in her possession. Given that she had already been recorded for traffic violations, the case was considered more serious.
The police proposed to the competent court that she be detained, serve a 60-day prison sentence, pay a fine, and be banned from driving for 12 months. On August 10, 2026, the court issued a decision ordering the 29-year-old to be held for ten days.
