The Spanish food delivery company has ceased operations in BiH, focusing on key markets with higher growth potential.
The food delivery platform Glovo has ceased operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina as of today, August 10, 2026. This marks the end of the Spanish company's multi-year presence in the local market, where it was one of the most recognizable apps for ordering food, groceries, and other products.
Users were notified on June 10 that August 10 would be the last day of business activities. "As previously announced, Glovo will cease operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina on August 10. From that date, you will no longer be able to order through Glovo," the company said in a message distributed to users.
The decision to exit the Bosnian market was made at the global level as part of a strategic restructuring of operations. In an official statement, Glovo explained that the goal is to direct efforts and investments toward markets with high growth potential.
"This decision aims to further focus Glovo's presence in markets so that efforts and investments can be directed toward key markets with high growth potential. This will allow Glovo to better serve the millions of users worldwide who rely on its app daily," the statement reads.
The company further stated that it will settle all financial and legal obligations toward workers, partners, and other stakeholders.
Glovo entered the Bosnian market in 2021 through the acquisition of the Donesi brand. This move was part of a broader expansion plan in Southern Europe. Through the app, users could order food, groceries, and other products from restaurants and stores, while the company partnered with numerous establishments and delivery drivers.
"Thank you for being part of the Glovo community. We appreciate your understanding during this transition period," the company said.
