A family vacation in Trogir turned into a story that restores faith in human kindness for Svetlana and her son with autism. After returning from the holiday, the mother shared an experience in a Facebook group that deeply moved many.
The jet ski renters decided to give the boy another free ride, but they didn't stop there. On the way back to the other shore, they allowed him to do something especially thrilling-they let him take the helm of the boat they were returning on.
For Svetlana, however, the greatest value wasn't the ride itself or steering the vessel, but the way these people treated her child. It was precisely this human approach that prompted her to publicly thank them.
"Hello and thank you very much to the jet ski renters who today gave my son with autism another free ride, and then allowed him to sit at the helm of the boat that was bringing us back to the other shore," Svetlana wrote in her post.
She then added a sentence that best captures the depth of her emotions: "You have restored my faith that someday someone will look at him as a person, not a diagnosis. There are still good people in this world." In an interview with Index.hr, she further emphasized: "This man is a hidden hero."
