A consortium of three companies, including Široki Brijeg-based Feal, has made the shortlist to take over and recapitalize the Croatian hotel chain "Jadran" from Crikvenica. The news was published on August 12, 2026, by Jutarnji list, citing unnamed sources close to the investors, with the final decision expected to be made by Jadran's Assembly, which is anticipated to be convened in the coming days.
Alongside Feal, the consortium includes tourism company Aminess Hotels & Resorts from Novigrad, managed by the fund Auctor of lawyer Oleg Uskoković, and Cavtat-based construction firm Texo Molior. Each of the three members is expected to contribute just under €17 million to collectively fund the required €50 million capital increase. Jutarnji list notes the possibility that the offer may exceed this amount, but the exact figure is not yet known.
Roles within the consortium are clearly divided: Texo Molior would handle construction work, Feal would supply joinery, and Aminess Hotels & Resorts would take over operational management of the tourism business. Each company assumes an equal one-third stake.
The Jadran hotel chain, founded in 1964, currently manages over 1,600 accommodation units in hotels, resorts, and camps along the Crikvenica Riviera and on the islands of Krk and Brač. The renovation of neglected facilities is estimated at over €100 million.
The capital increase would make Jadran creditworthy, and the current majority owners, pension funds, are expected to retain a minority stake. This move is seen as an effort to ensure business stability and prevent any potential asset sell-off.
The pre-selection process itself was not straightforward, as all submitted bids were conditional. Pre-selection is the stage where an investor deemed the best is chosen from a shortlist, but the final say must come from Jadran's Assembly.
