The influencer and contestant from the fourth season of 'Mr. Perfect' spoke out about cancel culture, just a month after she herself faced public backlash over an incident in Dubrovnik.
On her TikTok profile, Laura Prgomet (25), who participated in the fourth season of RTL's show 'Mr. Perfect' as a contestant and is also an influencer, shared a video commenting on the phenomenon known as cancel culture and the way public figures are criticized on social media. Although she emphasized that this time she was not referring directly to herself, her statements carry a personal note, as she herself was recently subjected to a large number of criticisms and negative reactions.
In the video, Laura sent a clear message about how content creators should use their platforms. "The worst kind of influencers and content creators, in my opinion, are those who build their careers, views, and engagement on someone else's misfortune, on insulting and belittling others," she said.
Instead of public shaming and humiliation, she called on creators to use their audience and influence for positive and beneficial things. She pointed out that everyone can make mistakes and that there should be more tolerance and compassion on social media. In the video description, she added: "Let's all have a little more compassion together."
Her post was met with approval from some of her followers. "You showed that you are a human first, a rare public figure who offered support, while her best friends remain silent," one user wrote. Another added: "Yes, that's right, everyone is lynching and criticizing everyone else."
Although Laura clearly stated that in this video she is not talking about her own case, the topic is not unfamiliar to her. About a month ago, she herself was in the public spotlight and received many negative comments on social media.
In early July 2026, she was taken into custody after an incident at a café in Dubrovnik. According to information released at the time, a fight or disturbance broke out in the establishment, prompting emergency services and police to be called to the scene. While officers were carrying out their duties, Laura attacked two police officers, and one female officer sustained minor injuries. Due to suspicion that she had committed two criminal acts of assault on an official, she was ordered into investigative detention, but after a few days, she was released with precautionary measures.
Video footage of the incident and her arrest quickly spread across social media, sparking numerous comments and condemnations. When she later addressed the public, Laura took responsibility for her behavior, said she was not seeking an apology or justification, and stated that the whole experience was a warning from which she wanted to learn a lesson.
