€90 Million Tender Announced for Croatian Farmers

The second tender this year for investments in primary agricultural production opened on August 11. Application deadlines start on August 17, with support intensity depending on farm size and investment type.

The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the long-awaited tender for the implementation of intervention 73.10, Support for investments in primary agricultural production. The total value of the tender is €90 million, and the funds are intended for natural and legal persons registered in the Farm Register and recognized producer organizations.

Support from 40 to 100 percent, with bonuses for young farmers and women

The support intensity varies depending on the economic size of the farm. For agricultural holdings with an economic size of up to €250,000 SO (standard output), the support amounts to 45 percent of eligible costs. Larger farms, those above €250,000 SO, can expect 40 percent co-financing. For investments in the introduction of biosecurity measures, a maximum support intensity of 100 percent of eligible costs is provided.

An additional incentive is provided for young farmers and women, they can increase the support intensity for smaller farms by an additional 15 percentage points, opening the door to even more favorable project financing conditions.

From €15,000 to €2 million per project

The minimum amount of support that can be obtained per individual project is €15,000. The upper limits depend on the category of beneficiary. Farms up to €250,000 SO can receive a maximum of €500,000 in support, with the limit for the purchase of machinery set at €100,000. For larger farms, total support can reach €2 million, while the amount reserved for machinery is capped at €200,000.

Deadlines by sector: first starts on August 17

Applications will be submitted in several rounds, with the schedule defined by sector and economic size of the farm. The first round opens on August 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM and is intended for larger farms in the dairy, meat, poultry (laying hens), and seed and nursery production sectors. At the same time, smaller farms in the seed and nursery production sector are also eligible to apply. The deadline for this group of beneficiaries expires on September 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

Larger farms in fruit growing, vegetable growing, and viticulture can submit their applications from August 17 to October 19, 2026. The last deadline applies to farms with an economic size of €15,000 to €250,000 SO in the poultry sector (laying hens), which will be able to submit applications from October 15 to November 12, 2026. Deadlines for smaller farms in other sectors open during September and October.
