The program runs twice a year, starting in March and October, and provides interns with practical experience in a multicultural environment. In addition to professional development, participants receive financial support covering, among other things, meal and public transportation costs.

Interns can join various departments and bodies of the European Commission. Focus areas include the automotive industry, engineering and manufacturing, business, administration and finance, healthcare, social care and education, hospitality, culinary arts and tourism, as well as information technology and digital media.

Over the five months, participants will apply their vocational skills to practical tasks while developing professional and communication abilities in an international setting.
