Street closures, designated parking, drone flight ban, and appeals to attendees, the Šibenik-Knin Police Department has issued a comprehensive advisory ahead of tonight's spectacle at Šubićevac.
Due to the exceptionally high interest in the concert by Marko Perković Thompson, scheduled for tonight at the Šubićevac Stadium, the Šibenik-Knin Police Department has released a series of important instructions, recommendations, and information regarding special traffic regulations. The concert begins at 9 PM, and all attendees and residents are urged to familiarize themselves with these measures to avoid congestion and ensure the safety of all participants.
Traffic regulation will be implemented based on security assessments and the intensity of arrivals and departures. All listed roads will be closed to all vehicles except emergency services. Đure Đakovića Street will be temporarily closed during the day and night on August 3 and 4, 2026, and will remain impassable until the conclusion of the attendee dispersal on August 5.
During the day and night of August 4 and 5, Bana Josipa Jelačića Street and 113. šibenske brigade HV-a Street will be closed. As needed, Put Gimnazije, Jerka Machieda Street, and a section of state road D8 from Njivice to Ražine will also be closed to traffic. Additionally, the unclassified road through Dubrava to the Podi Industrial Zone, which will be used by buses carrying attendees, is slated for closure.
The City of Šibenik has secured several parking zones. TEF Parking Lot is designated for vehicles arriving from the direction of Zadar via state roads D8 and D27. Podi Parking Lot is intended for vehicles from the A1 motorway from both north and south, while Mandalina Parking Lot, including the area of the Bribirski Kneževi barracks, is for vehicles from Split arriving via state road D58. For vehicles from the direction of Knin via state road D33, parking is provided in the wider area of the Bilice Municipality along county road ŽC 6277, specifically at the intersection of D33 and ŽC 6277, extending from Tromilja and Gradina to Bilice.
For vehicles arriving from Split via the A1 motorway, the police recommend using the Vrpolje exit, then taking state road D58 to the Podi parking zone.
Marked pedestrian corridors lead from the parking lots to the stadium. From TEF, the recommended route is via Ivana Meštrovića Street, Prve primorske čete Street, 113. šibenske brigade HV-a Street, and Bana Josipa Jelačića Street. From Mandalina, the route goes via Velimira Škorpika, Stjepana Radića, Matije Gupca, Put Gimnazije, and Bana Josipa Jelačića Street. Attendees from Podi will be dropped off by bus near 113. šibenske brigade HV-a Street, from where a pedestrian route leads to Bana Josipa Jelačića Street.
Transit drivers are advised to use the A1 motorway. For travel to Žaborić, Grebaštica, Primošten, Rogoznica, and Trogir, the Prgomet interchange is recommended instead of the Šibenik and Vrpolje interchanges. Tourists are advised to use public city transport due to the expected large influx of vehicles.
In case of traffic jams, drivers are urged to immediately stop their vehicles as close to the right edge of the road as possible to create a corridor for emergency vehicles. Residents of Šibenik are asked to follow information about street closures and plan alternative routes. The ban on open fires is also reminded, and if flames are spotted, call the fire department immediately at 193.
In accordance with Article 79 of the Police Affairs and Powers Act, the police will conduct audio-visual recording of the public gathering before, during, and after the concert. From August 4 at 2 PM until August 5 at 5 AM, a temporary no-fly zone up to 500 meters in altitude is in effect over Šibenik, including drone flights. Only aircraft of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense are exempt.
The police appeal to attendees not to leave all at once after the concert ends.
"We call on attendees not to exit all at the same time after the public gathering ends, and to ensure that the dispersal is gradual and carefully directed when leaving the venue,"states the press release from the Šibenik-Knin Police Department.
Drivers are strictly prohibited from driving under the influence of alcohol, and enhanced traffic controls are announced after the concert.
"We appeal to drivers not to get behind the wheel if they have consumed alcohol, and we call on all participants to respect traffic regulations and laws, as police officers will continue to control and monitor traffic on all routes after the concert,"the police stated.
Attendees are advised to be patient when entering, carry personal therapy and medications, and stay hydrated. A special appeal is directed at parents to keep children under constant supervision.
