Bugatti Rimac generated €391.2 million in total revenue in 2025, with 94 percent recorded as exports. However, the key question is how much of this is genuine exports to independent customers versus transactions with related entities.
Mate Rimac, founder and owner of Bugatti Rimac, shared Lider's table of Croatia's top exporters on his profile, highlighting his company's result. According to data reported by Teleskop.hr, Bugatti Rimac generated €391.2 million in total revenue in 2025, with as much as €369.1 million recorded as exports. This means that over 94 percent of the company's revenue comes from abroad.
At first glance, this is an impressive result that places Bugatti Rimac, headquartered in Kerestinec, among Croatia's largest exporters. According to FINA data, total revenue saw a significant increase of over 400 percent compared to the previous year, while net profit exceeded €114 million.
The export figure itself, however, does not reveal what exactly was exported. The article's author, Dražen Ćurić, writing for Teleskop.hr, outlines two possible scenarios. The first scenario, which would be exceptionally impressive for the domestic industry, is that Bugatti Rimac achieved sales worth hundreds of millions of euros from Croatia, including cars, components, technology, and development services, all to customers unaffiliated with the company worldwide. In such a case, this would represent very strong genuine exports by a Croatian company.
The second possible scenario is also entirely acceptable from an accounting perspective but carries a different meaning. Bugatti Rimac is part of an international business network linked to Rimac Group, Porsche, and Bugatti's operations in France. When the Croatian company issues invoices for parts, licenses, development services, or other rights to related companies abroad, such transactions can also be recorded as exports. This does not indicate any irregularity in operations, but it is not the same as having €369 million worth of goods and services end up with independent foreign customers.
At this point, it is impossible to determine from publicly available data which portion of exports falls under which scenario. To get an answer, one would need to review the detailed notes to the financial statements, particularly those concerning revenue from related parties and the geographical distribution of sales.
Rimac's figure appears to be a major business success, but the real question is yet to come: what actually lies behind Bugatti Rimac's €369 million in Croatian exports.
