Recreational athlete and ultramarathoner spends ten days swimming around his home island, with the humanitarian campaign for the More snage Brač association still ongoing.
Ten days ago, he entered the sea with an ambitious dream, and today Stjepan Lukšić, a recreational athlete and ultramarathoner, is on the verge of achieving what Morski describes as one of the greatest sporting feats on Brač. In the final leg of the 'Brač 100K' ultramarathon, he is less than ten kilometers away from returning to Supetar, where he will complete his full circle around the island.
What began as a personal challenge has grown into a story of community and solidarity. In recent days, Stjepan has faced waves, heat, and growing fatigue daily, but also something that cannot be measured in kilometers-the support of the people. Friends, a medical team, firefighters, athletes, and numerous citizens have followed him, welcoming him in towns across Brač, joining him in the sea, and organizing sporting events.
Although the final stroke will mark the end of the sporting challenge, the humanitarian mission continues. The 'Brač 100K' ultramarathon is dedicated to the More snage Brač association, which provides psychological support to cancer patients and their families. The funds raised will be directed toward financing psychotherapists for group work with patients and their loved ones, ensuring professional help is available to people across the entire island.
The organizers invite citizens to welcome Stjepan in Supetar at noon and together celebrate the completion of this unique endeavor, as well as to support its higher purpose.
