Police in Stolac arrested F. T. (born 1992) and seized indoor growing equipment, while in a separate case in Bolivia, 86.5 kilograms of marijuana were found in the bus of São Paulo football club.
Police officers from Čapljina and Stolac uncovered an elaborate marijuana plantation in a family home in the Stolac area. During a search conducted under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Mostar and based on a court order, they found 64 cannabis-like plants, indoor growing equipment, and approximately three kilograms of dried substance suspected to be marijuana.
F. T., born in 1992, was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs. In addition to the plants and dried substance, police seized two indoor growing tents, a large amount of equipment, packaging materials, a precision digital scale, and one mobile device.
The search was conducted by officers from the Criminal Police Department of the Čapljina Police Administration, the Čapljina Police Station, and the Stolac Police Station. It covered the family home with all associated rooms and structures on the land used by the suspect.
Following the criminal investigation, under the supervision of the prosecuting attorney, further legally prescribed measures and actions will be taken against F. T.
In a completely separate incident, Brazilian football team São Paulo found itself at the center of a scandal in Bolivia. During a routine inspection, Bolivian police discovered exactly 86.5 kilograms of marijuana in the club's bus, leading to the arrest of three drivers. After the incident, the club found a replacement bus, and the players reportedly only learned about the drugs upon arriving at their destination in Santa Cruz.
The incident occurred ahead of the Copa Sudamericana round of 16 match between Bolívar and São Paulo, which ended 1-1 last night. The away goal was scored by Roberto Arboleda, while Melgar equalized for the home side.
