Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić posted a video on his Instagram profile on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, that quickly went viral. The footage shows a relaxed atmosphere in Zlatibor, specifically in Kokin Brod, where Serbia's Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović, sings in his ear, while a table laden with food and drinks surrounds them.
The minister performed the lyrics of the song "I'm going across the land of Serbia, my heart goes where it pleases, and even if it's the last thing I do, I'll come to you," with Vučić and others present following the performance with raised hands and facial expressions that conveyed ecstasy and deep emotion directed at the president.
Alongside the video, Vučić wrote a message urging Serbian citizens to spend their summer vacations in their own country. "Fun on Brač, Hvar, Athens, or Bodrum. None of that. This is Kokin Brod, Zlatibor, Serbia. Long live Serbia! P.S. The sea is also the best here," his post reads, directly calling for a boycott of two popular Croatian island destinations.
Such an appeal represents a direct attempt to influence the decisions of Serbian tourists, who traditionally make up a significant portion of guests on the Croatian coast, and comes in the midst of the tourist season.
The video particularly drew attention to Dubravka Đedović, who stood out with her vocal performance. Commenters on Instagram did not spare words of praise for her. "Dubravka, hats off, she speaks five languages, is a mother of three, and educated at three faculties," read one comment.
However, not all reactions were positive. There were also snide comments like "And where will she go, maybe to Kosovo and Metohija" and "Who's paying for this farce?", showing that Vučić's post did not meet with unanimous approval.
