This August, Korčula once again becomes the stage for one of Croatia's most vibrant traditions. The knight's sword dance, Moreška, returns to the audience with two summer performances at the Korčula Summer Cinema, scheduled for Monday, August 10, and Thursday, August 13, 2026.
The show begins at 9 PM, and visitors will have the chance to witness an ancient tale told through a dance battle between two groups. The conflict over the maiden Bula comes to life through precise choreography, powerful sword clashes, and lavish costumes, making this tradition a unique blend of drama, music, and martial skill.
Tickets for both performances are already available. They can be purchased through the official Moreška website or in person at Korčula's tourist agencies Kaleta, Korkyra Info, and Rent a Đir. For those who decide at the last minute, sales will also be organized at the entrance to the Summer Cinema, one hour before the performance begins.
