Restaurant Pjerin at Dubrovnik's boutique hotel Villa Dubrovnik continues its exclusive "Chef Stories" concept with a new edition that will bring together two of Croatia's top chefs. On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Villa Dubrovnik's executive chef Robert Račić will host Bernard Korak, chef of Restaurant Korak in Plešivica and holder of prestigious MICHELIN accolades.
This is the second edition of the Chef Stories: A Four Hands Dinner series, following the first gathering that combined the culinary philosophies of Chef Račić and Tibor Valinčić, Croatia's youngest MICHELIN-starred chef. Now it's time for a meeting with a chef whose restaurant is one of the most esteemed in the country.
Two Signature Styles on One Plate
Bernard Korak has built a distinctive gastronomic philosophy rooted in seasonality, local ingredients, and a deep respect for nature and the terroir of Plešivica. He honed his skills in the kitchens of some of the world's most renowned chefs, including Massimo Bottura and Ana Roš, before returning to his family estate and developing a signature approach that now attracts guests from around the globe.
On the other hand, Chef Robert Račić, through Restaurant Pjerin, cultivates a contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine inspired by the Adriatic and local ingredients. His refined approach has positioned Pjerin among the most exciting culinary destinations on the Croatian coast.
Five Courses of Pleasure Over Three Hours
The evening begins with cocktails at 7:30 PM, followed by a carefully crafted gastronomic journey through five courses. The entire experience will last approximately three hours, giving guests ample time to savor each dish and wine pairing at a relaxed pace.
The exclusive tasting menu, created solely for this evening, will feature dishes such as aged amberjack with almond and peach, a summer garden in various textures, a ragout of vineyard snails and kid goat, turbot with morel mushrooms, and lamb with charred pepper. Dessert brings apricot in various textures alongside a selection of petit fours, with wine pairings from Korak Winery.
An Intimate Stage Above the Adriatic
Restaurant Pjerin is perched on a cliff above the Adriatic Sea, offering panoramic views of Lokrum Island and Dubrovnik's historic core. It is this unique setting, along with exceptional cuisine and personalized hospitality, that forms the heart of the Chef Stories concept-bringing together leading names in Croatian gastronomy for one-of-a-kind evenings.
Villa Dubrovnik, a five-star boutique hotel, features 56 exclusive accommodations and restaurants with Michelin recommendations. Seating for this evening is strictly limited, and reservations are required via the restaurant's website or by calling 020 500 300.
