After 13 years of waiting, Sisak's handball team returns to the elite, and their first signing comes with an impressive Champions League title.
Ahead of their return to the Paket24 Premier League, RK Sisak announced on August 3, 2026, news that sent ripples through the handball scene. Joining the club is Marko Miševski, a 27-year-old Macedonian international who spent the last season with Israel's Maccabi Rishon LeZion.
Miševski, who plays as a left back and center back, stands 200 centimeters tall and weighs 104 kilograms. His experience and physical attributes will be a huge asset to the team led by coach Siniša Markota.
He began his handball career with Macedonian club Vardar, where he achieved his greatest club successes. With Vardar, he won three North Macedonian league titles, three national cups, the SEHA League, and in 2019, the EHF Champions League. He then played in France for Grenoble SMH and Cournon d'Auvergne, briefly returned to Macedonian club Prolet, and spent the last season in Israel.
Beyond club trophies, Miševski is a regular member of the North Macedonia national team. He has appeared at two European Championships and one World Championship, confirming his international quality and bringing additional experience to the Sisak dressing room.
The arrival of a player who lifted the Champions League trophy is a clear signal of RK Sisak's ambitions as they return to the Croatian elite after 13 years away. The club aims to be competitive against the strongest Croatian teams in the upcoming season.
